Objecting
In this section we describe how you can
effectively fight and win against inappropriate planning applications.
You usually have less than 20 days to OBJECT from the date you first
hear about the Planning Application.
In outline this is what you need to do, as soon as possible:

Understand how the Planning Process works.

Look at the submitted plans and decide on your main reasons for objecting to the application. Make sure they are valid objections from a Planning Officer’s perspective.

Write to the Council clearly stating your objections to the Planning Application.

Contact other people who may support your objections and may themselves submit objections to the Planning Department.
